Update on our puppies! The Lucky 7. Today we’ve seen these little survivors out in the sunshine at our Hospital and enjoying a little bit of fuss, sniffs and soft food. Nothing short of a miracle really, given what happened to them over the weekend. They still have a long road ahead to heal their skin, but for today, we are celebrating these small, sunny victories. We promise you this has a happy ending‼️ Over the weekend, our Chief Vet Dr. Reshad received an emergency call: a member of the public had found a litter of tiny puppies on a back road trapped in a horrific pool of thick industrial tar⚫️ By the time our team could get to them late afternoon, the situation was critical. The tar was acting like concrete around the puppies🐾. It was impossible to free them safely on-site without causing further injury, so our team had to make the decision to tran

Imagine your family’s entire livelihood just vanishing almost overnight. In the more remote areas around Kabul city, a silent and absolutely preventable tragedy is happening. Recently, Dr. Reshad has been called to several devastating cases where household dairy cows have been bitten by rabid dogs. Once symptoms of rabies appear, there is no cure and it is extremely distressing to see. To prevent further suffering and protect the family, Dr. Reshad has had to keep making the difficult decision
