It's National Rescue Dog Day today!!! Celebrating Hope (from yesterday!), second chances, and all the dogs out there, still waiting...
Today is National Rescue Dog Day in the UK — a day dedicated to raising awareness for the thousands of dogs still waiting in shelters, celebrating the joy of adopted pets, and encouraging future owners to consider rehoming rather than buying a puppy.
Sparky - our most recent rehoming success - is now thriving in a loving home after leaving his Kabul shelter days behind him. Just look at him in his new home now - doing everything a dog should do. Sparky's one of the lucky ones, but many more are still waiting for their chance at a life beyond a kennel.
To EVERYONE who has adopted, fostered, fundraised, volunteered, or supported a shelter in any way: THANK YOU. Your compassion truly changes lives. Today, let's celebrate every rescue dog around the world and the wonderful families who opened their hearts to them.
We can't change the world by adopting one dog - but for that dog, we can change their world.
