In amongst all this week’s evacuation runs, we had a late night call from Ksenia about a Ukrainian soldier who was reaching out in total distress — he believed his beloved pal on base, Anfiska, had ingested rat poison.

When not in her day job, she's a full time volunteer, donating her skills and time to help charities raise awareness and funds. Her passion is not just helping all animals but doing anything it takes to see a cause through, including stepping up at the community centre in Borodianka last week to help the veterinary team when they were stretched.
