Calling all dog lovers and supporters in the Peoria area, Illinois! Join Deb and Nowzad on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM at Tower Park, for Peoria Humane Society’s Bark in the Park 2026!
It’s the 30th anniversary of this fantastic event, promising a fun-filled morning for families and four-legged friends featuring the Marvellous Mutt Show, a pet parade, dog games, rescue organizations like Nowzad, local vendors, raffle baskets, children’s activities, and great food.
It also happens to be the "almost 20th anniversary" of Nowzad's first ever US event too! At the exact same Bark in the Park in 2007, when Pen and Deb had a great day raising money for our fledgling charity (remember holding an all-day push-up contest with a fellow volunteer too Pen Farthing???!!!)
Deb is a long-term supporter of Pen and Nowzad, having had the pleasure of meeting the famous original Nowzad and Tali dog back in the day too! Have a look at these old school photos from 2013 - the original G.O.A.T that is Nowzad!!
