Nowzad Emergency appeal update

🚨 EMERGENCY APPEAL UPDATE 🚨

Nowzad is being stretched to our limits as the Coronavirus crisis in Afghanistan worsens.

With many of our team being directly affected by the deadly virus, we have made the difficult decision to continue to keep as many of our staff in lockdown as we can to ensure the 200+ rescued and rehabilitating animals in our care are well looked after.

We are still stockpiling as much food, bedding, cleaning and medical supplies as we can for all the animals which includes making dinner for the 120+ dogs there, which is some undertaking in itself!

Sadly, we are still unable to transport soldier rescues and adopted dogs and cats, which has resulted in a backlog of 36 animals at the Nowzad shelter in Kabul waiting to go to their forever homes, thankfully we are keeping them safe and happy here in the meantime.

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the Nowzad Family. We are so grateful for your donations. The current situation has been a massive double blow for us.  The costs at our clinic and shelters are rising dramatically and our income has plummeted as many of our fundraising events have sadly had to be cancelled. Your donations are so important to us.

Please do continue to donate what you can, as we said before, the world will be a different place when this is over but Nowzad will still be here.
The animals of Afghanistan will need your help and support.

To donate to our general fund please click here or for supporters in the US click here and UK supporters can click here:

Thank you Nowzad Family. Please continue to stay safe, take care of yourselves and look after each other.
