These little puppies have just arrived at our warehouse in Lviv after a long, exhausting 24-hour journey with Pen. They are MORE than ready for some fresh air, leg stretching, and lots of puppy playtime with Liuba and Vol - our two amazing members of staff in Ukraine! 🐶❤️🐱 The best part? They are safe now, and will be ready for their forever homes to families there very soon! A massive thank you to everyone who supports us and made this rescue mission from Kramatorsk possible 🙏✨ #AnimalRes

After a slightly crazy night in Varash, Pen is officially on his way to Lviv today, for another drop-off of Kramatorsk evacuees! It’s a stark reminder that while others waste time trying to tear things down, the focus remains exactly where it belongs — on saving lives — and on we all go 👊 🐾 #nowzad #operationkramatorsk #kittens #animalrescue

Yesterday, Pen finally made it to Varash! One of 10 shelters that is helping us with the evacuation out of frontline Kramatorsk. 3 hours on the road, checkpoint delays, and a total sat-nav meltdown… rinse and repeat from the day before really! He started at 7:00am in the heat, and after navigating some seriously high-risk roads, managed to reach a place to pull over for the night, just before the curfew kicked in. Bedtime, but not before Pen dived right in to clean and feed the loud little f

Our final run from Kramatorsk. 💔 As the BBC reported yesterday, Russian troops are advancing just to the south of Kramatorsk now, and we are running out of time. The city will soon be within artillery range, so we are loading the Nowzad van and Angela’s car with as many dogs, puppies, and kittens as we can possibly fit, to get them out of danger. Pen and Angela have a long drive ahead to get these animals safely to the shelters in the west, but we have to move fast. Many of these shelters a

Well…. As Pen says – over 100 cats and dogs later, this may well be our last trip to Kramatorsk, for the foreseeable future at least. Tragically, the reality on the ground in Eastern Ukraine is worsening by the hour. Pen and the Nowzad team have received word today that the final semi-safe route into Kramatorsk has been compromised by intense drone activity in the last 24 hours. Pen and Angela are moving forward to rescue 19 more dogs, puppies, and cats tomorrow, but the risks are higher than
