An update from Pen
30 May 2024

It has been nearly three years since those fateful days of Operation Ark and the complete abandonment of Afghanistan by western governments. It is as if the preceding twenty years of sacrifice by the coalition of western soldiers to bring about the positive changes never happened.

Imagine - it’s 10:00 PM in Kramatorsk, the skies are quiet for once, but the reality of frontline rescue arrives at the door. On Friday night, the military arrived in darkness to hand over a dog to Dr Lach and Angela – a thin, exhausted, and absolutely frozen dog from the frontline. Our two didn't have much on hand, but he happily accepted some pasta, giving the bowl a very grateful lick! And, then after the last mouthfall, sauntered right over to Angela for some much-needed scratches! Lach h

Meet Ksenia, a brave, heroic young woman who stayed behind to help shelter animals amidst lethal attacks on Kramatorsk. Thank you Ksenia, for every life you're helping to save. #OperationKramatorsk #NowzadUkraine #DruziSpace

Well, it’s CATURDAY here again in Ukraine , and while the sounds of the frontline aren’t so far away, the sound we’re focusing on today is the miaows of these tiny survivors. Angela and Dr. Lach are back on the ground in the far east as of yesterday, as part of “Operation Kramatorsk”. Between evacuating animals from the handful of shelters and foster homes, they’ve been running pop-up clinics and making home visits to the local volunteers who stayed behind. Pen to follow again very soon! Thes

WE DID IT! £50,000 GOAL REACHED! What an incredible way to end the week! We are absolutely over the moon to announce that thanks to YOUR overwhelming kindness, we have officially hit our £50,000 target for the Operation Kramatorsk appeal! 🥳 This goal was made possible by a final, incredible push from an anonymous donor who stepped up with a staggering £5,000 gift to get us over the line. To that donor, and to every single one of you who donated £5, £50, or simply shared our posts—THANK YOU.
