A Special Morning with Nowzad at St Paul’s Primary School

St Paul’s Primary School had a very special start to the day with a visit from Pen Farthing and one adorable four-legged friend! Pen came to talk to the children about the amazing work Nowzad does helping animals in war zones in Afghanistan and Ukraine. He shared moving stories about the challenges animals face in those places, and how Nowzad helps to give them a second chance at life.

But the real star of the show was Dakota, a beautiful rescue dog from Afghanistan. She came along with Pen and Jen (another wonderful member of the Nowzad team) and instantly became a favourite with everyone. The children and the teachers loved fussing over her, and she enjoyed every second of the attention!

It was a morning full of smiles, tail wags, and inspiration. Pen’s visit reminded everyone about the power of kindness and how even in the hardest places, compassion can shine through.

A huge thank you to St Paul’s for welcoming Nowzad with such open arms.

If your school would like to host a visit from Nowzad and meet Pen Farthing, you can get in touch with the team at info@nowzad.com.

Remember Blue? We first introduced you to this sweet boy back in December, and today, we are absolutely delighted to share an update on beautiful Blue! After his devastating accident, Blue’s road to recovery looked long and uncertain. The impact was severe, causing significant injuries to his internal organs — specifically his lungs — which required careful monitoring and X-rays to track the damage. He also struggled with a painful tear in her upper palate that made the simple act of eating a d

Instead of our usual Fury post this week, and due to the whole, absolutely devastating situation in the region, we wanted to give an update from our team in Kabul. Thank you to every one of you who have asked us how they and all the animals are doing recently. We always pass your messages on. And it helps so much in times like these. ❤️ Your kindness and care keeps our teams going, until that day when peace finally replaces conflict and war. “In recent months, daily life in Afghanistan has b

What a busy and inspiring weekend for the whole Nowzad team! 🐾 While Pen was busy sharing our story with wonderful crowds in Totnes and the Royal British Legion Banstead, another part of the team was representing us in London. David, Ann, and Ewok made it to the Ealing Animal Charities Fair! It was a fantastic day spent manning the stand and connecting with so many passionate animal lovers. Highlights included catching up with our amazing patron, Peter Egan, who stopped by to show his suppor
