Happy World Donkey Day 2025!

Today, we're highlighting the incredible work of Nowzad’s Vet Team and their vital Working Animal Programme in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Did you know that working donkeys and horses are the lifeblood of many communities there? Especially in the mountainous regions where they tirelessly carry essential supplies like water, food, and building materials – it is a hard life for them all.

To mark World Donkey Day 2025, Nowzad has distributed padded harnesses to working donkeys around Kabul this morning. Such a simple yet crucial intervention helps prevent painful injuries caused by ill-fitting equipment.
