Former Rescues

All of our Nowzad former street dogs or cats will need a home where love and patience walk hand in hand.

It can be a long road of trial and error and careful supervision is always necessary. Overcoming the Afghan animal’s very territorial nature can have its moments.

We have fully come to appreciate that adopting an Afghan animal is not for everybody as it requires a life time of commitment but could you be the loving home our companion animals are looking for?

All our animals for adoption are vaccinated, neutered, tick flea & wormed & microchipped.

The team at Nowzad feel it is very important to ensure that you and your family / home situation is right for the dog or cat you are considering adopting. Please be as honest with us as you can when you complete the questionnaire. Some of our older dogs or cats that need ‘forever’ homes may not readily accept other dogs that are already living in your home but our younger dogs will settle with the correct introduction and supervision.

Palang

Our oldest cat on the Ark was the gorgeous Palang. His fabulous new Mum says….
Palang arrived with me just a few days before the 2nd anniversary of my husband's death. After just a half hour of exploring his new home, he jumped up into my lap and has pretty much been attached to me since!
I immediately felt a connection with him and he seemed to feel safe with me from the get go: he has settled in as if he's always been here. He is a complete cuddle monster: is very insistent on regular cuddles, and has to sleep snuggled into my neck.

It feels like Palang was picked out just for me when I needed him most. He has brought love and warmth back into my home, and gives me so much comfort as I continue to struggle with the grief and heartache of losing Pete. I may be providing for him, but he is giving me so much more. He is now, and forever, my family.
These two are just the best of friends and we could not be happier for them both.
