Panda, a young and very energetic dog, came into Nowzad's permanent care due to a series of chronic and complex medical issues that his previous owner could no longer manage. His health struggles included persistent skin infections, hair loss, chronic ear pain, and relentless tick and flea infestations, made worse by his overweight condition. Recognising the need for dedicated, long-term veterinary attention, his owner made the difficult decision to surrender him to Nowzad in June 2025.
Panda has a wonderfully lively spirit! While he can be vocal and reactive when confined to his kennel, he undergoes the most remarkable transformation outdoors. He becomes noticeably calm, focused, and relaxed, absolutely thriving on the open space and activity. With consistent, positive handling, Panda is now embracing routines and showing wonderful progress, ready to engage with life outside his kennel.
Living full-time at the shelter ensures Panda receives regular, professional veterinary care. This includes specialised skin treatments to manage his recurring issues and a crucial weight management programme. This focused strategy is vital for improving Panda’s overall quality of life, allowing this sweet boy to thrive in the safe and supportive environment of Nowzad.
