Adopting A Nowzad Rescue

Dasher

Dasher Dasher

Suffering and in pain; Dasher was discovered by a local Afghan (around Christmas time) with a severe injury to the left side of his head. Thankfully it looked so much worse than it was and our team wasted no time in setting him on the road to recovery. The boy liked to jump and as it was the festive season when we rescued; he was soon named Dasher…

Now living in the US Dasher is the ultimate companion for his new adopted family as you will see from what Jeff has written; ‘Nowzad asked me to describe what having Dasher Afghan in my life is like in one hundred words and a couple of favorite photos. Not possible.

Perhaps it is just like living with your best friend… except you have to think like a dog… and there is no plan B. Having an Australian Shepherd companion for nigh on six years has demonstrated to me how incredibly intelligent Dasher Jan is. Learning to understand his communication signals to me as Dash learns signals from me has been just like any other bestie except, he doesn’t speak. Teaching him to trust completely while Dasher Jan shows agape love to us, his new forever family.

I could go on and on. One hundred words? I can do that in three; We heal together’.
