We were contacted about Mo by an American soldier serving in the Wardak Province of Afghanistan. They had found the little critter as a pup when out training in preparation for a patrol. There was no way the American lads could just leave the scared looking hungry pup out there on his own and ‘Mo’ as he was quickly named, found his way on to their base and a bowl of left over military rations.
We are pleased to say thanks to the efforts of the Nowzad team and an Afghan interpreter, Mo made it to the safety of the Nowzad animal shelter before undertaking the long journey to the US. Currently Mo is loving life as a family pet with the soldier who first befriended him.
