Grace's story is one of incredible resilience and a journey from hardship to hope. Her journey to recovery began in a heartbreaking moment at a brick kiln in Kabul, where she was found collapsed and surrounded by people trying to force her to stand with slaps and kicks.

Too weak to even lift her head, she had fallen from sheer exhaustion. We stood by her side, comforted her, and after much pleading with her owner, were finally able to get her to a hospital.

Today, she is on the road to recovery. The severe wounds on her back and leg, which caused her lameness, are healing. She is now able to stand and walk with more stability, a true testament to her strength. With her love for apples and carrots, Grace’s hearty appetite has been key to her quick progress.

Despite all she’s been through, Grace has a gentle and kind nature. She loves people and other animals, never showing aggression. She even recognises her name, calmly walking over when you call her.

We are committed to giving Grace the life of peace and comfort she has always deserved.
