They were rescued from the devastation of war. Today, they are helping others endure it. When war tore through communities in Ukraine, it wasn’t only people whose lives were changed forever. Hundreds of horses were left abandoned, traumatised by the horrors of conflict, until Horse Paradise Rescue Sanctuary gave them a second chance.

When conflict swept across Ukraine, hundreds of horses were abandoned, traumatised and left to fend for themselves. Horse Paradise Rescue Sanctuary, near Kyiv, gave them a second chance, and today these remarkable horses provide life-changing equine therapy for veterans, frontline soldiers and their families.

Now, they need our help.

Ukraine is facing a critical shortage of safe, high-quality hay. Earlier this year, the sanctuary was forced to accept uncertified forage due to the scarcity, leaving several horses seriously ill. With another winter approaching, we cannot let that happen again.

Together, we’re raising £20,000 to provide safe hay and keep these incredible horses healthy through the months ahead, so they can continue bringing comfort, healing and hope to those living through the ongoing effects of war.

Every donation helps protect the horses who are helping heal Ukraine.
