Whilst Pen and Dan spent more hours on the road today, the rest of the Nowzad Ukraine team, David, Liuba, Dr Lachlan and Angela were hard at work organising and packing the van ready to head into Hostomel and Borodyanka Sunday morning. In addition to food supplies, there is also all the necessary equipment and supplies needed to set up a surgical clinic. Yesterday was one of the long ones, but it was worth every second! Just look at the dogs as they come out of the crates after the journey, into their new home for now. Today has been a total whirlwind of emotion, action, and hope. In the Field with Pen 🎥 Check out the video from Pen, who’s currently en route with a truckload of animals - one dog (‘Peter’) going straight to the vets in Kyiv this evening to hopefully resolve some worrying health issues. We’re moving as fast as we can to get these dogs to safety in Kyiv and away from the immediate dangers of the conflict. Every mile brings them closer to a new, peaceful life.
