Today marks a milestone that truly takes our breath away. For one entire decade, the incredible community at Raise 4 Nowzad has been a lifeline for the animals in our care. From the countless parcels packed with love to the relentless effort of organising monthly auctions, this group has been a force of nature. We are beyond thankful to the heart and soul of the group too, Ann. Because of her dedication and the R4N generosity, the total raised as of December 2025 is a staggering: £114,584.00 �

Our beautiful girl Pat spent the majority of her life as a working donkey in one of the harshest environments we could imagine – within the high-altitude villages surrounding Kabul, Afghanistan. Here, donkeys are the lifeblood of the community, often providing the only means of transporting water and goods. Pat was forced to perform this gruelling work while battling rickets - a condition caused by severe nutritional deficiencies. This led to a softening of her bones, causing her legs to bow un
