Nowzad Team Makes Significant Impact on World Spay Day 2025 

In a powerful display of dedication to animal welfare, Nowzad’s team of seven skilled veterinarians made a significant contribution to the 2025 World Spay Day. On February 25th, our team successfully spayed/neutered an amazing 32 cats and 41 dogs, while also providing vital rabies vaccinations to help reduce disease incidence and transmission to humans.

Meet Druzhok🥰 When volunteers rescued this beautiful boy from the frontlines back in April and brought him to Ksenia’s in Kramatorsk, she knew exactly what to name him: Druzhok. In English, it means “Little Friend.” It’s a fitting name for a dog who has survived so much. We are absolutely thrilled to announce our new sheltered feeding shed for all our rescued equines at the Nowzad Donkey Sanctuary in Afghanistan!! With the summer heat in Kabul now getting hotter and hotter, providing relief for our donkeys and horses was a top priority.
