Little Rambo’s story is an emotional rollercoaster of heartbreak, hope and resilience. Found as a tiny pup in Kabul, she became the heart of a loving Afghan family – a relatively rare but special thing in Afghanistan.
But when the Taliban took control in August 2021, Rambo’s family had to flee for their lives — and they simply refused to leave her behind.
They made a harrowing escape across the border, finding temporary refuge in a neighbouring country. For a time, life stabilised for the family and precious Rambo. But when forced to move on yet again for their own safety, this time the unimaginable happened – the family could simply not take Rambo with them. Devastated but desperate to save her from the streets, they reached out to Nowzad.
Rambo has endured more upheaval than any dog ever should, yet her gentle, loyal spirit remains unbroken.
And, now, her horizon is finally changing.
A wonderful forever family in the USA is eagerly awaiting Rambo’s arrival. Her future promises endless walks, adventures everywhere, and the guarantee that she will never have to be left behind again.
