Our little Nowzad vet team of Lach, Angela and the all-new Mobile Veterinary Unit (thank you so much again to Almo Nature!) has been working round the clock over the past few days in Dnipro, delivering critical spaying and neutering surgery to abandoned and roaming animals at partner shelters.
In areas heavily affected by ongoing conflict, the street animal population can quickly surge, leaving fragile communities overwhelmed and animals at severe risk of disease, injury, and starvation. So - every single animal on our mobile operating table represents a life protected from the hardship of endless litters on the streets.
While all this work is underway, Pen, Nina, and Tony — along with our newly deployed "Ambo" — have been driving all over Ukraine!
They’ve been clocking up hundreds of miles delivering tonnes of animal food, medical equipment, and sturdy crates for frontline evacuations. The team has also been out visiting our wonderful partner shelters right across the wider Kyiv region to support their tireless work. There’s so much more to share on this, so stay tuned for a bigger update soon!
If you’re out on the roads and spot the Nowzad van or "Ambo" rolling past, be sure to give them a beep!
None of this frontline action would be possible without your constant support, encouragement, and donations. Thank you all for standing with us and the forgotten people and animals of Ukraine!
