Educating Kabul’s Next Generation on Animal Kindness and Safety

What a truly fantastic and hugely important day we had last week at our Nowzad Animal Hospital in Kabul!

Our dedicated veterinary team organised a special Animal Education Day for around 45 very enthusiastic school students. It was wonderful to welcome them to the hospital and see their excitement about learning how to be safe around animals and, crucially, how to treat them with kindness and respect.

The session was carefully designed to be engaging, focusing on two crucial topics that have a massive impact on the community: rabies prevention and essential general animal welfare. The students were keen to soak up all the information, participating in discussions and learning practical steps for responsible interaction with animals.

This activity is a key part of our mission. It’s all about encouraging learning in a friendly and supportive environment while promoting empathy, responsibility, and kindness toward animals, right here in Afghanistan. Educating the next generation is the most powerful tool we have for creating lasting change.

A massive thank you to our incredible vet team for organising such a successful and impactful day, and to everyone who continues to support our work and make these special outreach events possible!
