Coming third in our 2025 Companion for Life Call for Projects and receiving £7,000, Nowzad cue has completed its mobile veterinary clinic project, with the ambulance finished and now up and running, helping animals in need across Ukraine.
Countless cats and dogs have been left behind, many are injured and with veterinary care severly affected, local organisations and volunteers face extreme difficulties in providing to support to vulnerable animals.
Nowzad transformed an out of service ambulance into a mobile vet clinic, making it easier to reach animals who might otherwise face the harsh reality of not being able to get treatment.
With the mobile clinic operational, the clinic has helped expand Nowzad's existing work, helping their team provide more assistance to those animals who need it most. By bringing essential veterinary care close to vulnerable animals, the ambulance can support access to medical treatment, vaccinations and parasite control, while helping adress stray animal populations.
This completed project is an important step in helping to strenghen Nowzad's ongoing work in Ukraine, with the hope that the mobile clinic will enable their team to reach and care for even more animals affected by the conflict.
