Kathy’s Moel Famau Fundraising Challenge – An Amazing Update!
We’re delighted to share an update from our wonderful supporter Kathy Owen, who recently took on her own special challenge for Nowzad by climbing Moel Famau. As the fundraising is going so well, Kathy has decided to raise her target from £600 to an amazing £1,000!
Her fundraising page will remain open until 10 September, so there is still plenty of time to help Kathy get closer to that fantastic goal.
And there was a very special moment waiting for Kathy at the top of Moel Famau.
At the tower on the very peak of the mountain, with only a handful of people around, Kathy happened to meet a lady from Ukraine who was there with her dog. Kathy was wearing her Nowzad T-shirt, and the lady recognised the connection with Ukraine.
They spoke about Nowzad and our work helping animals affected by the war in her country, and she was delighted to hear about the support being provided.
What are the chances of reaching the top of a mountain at exactly the same time and making such a meaningful connection?
