MAYLO

Female • DOB February 2023 Blind Spayed • Fully vaccinated • Microchipped • FELV tested

Maylo’s story began in a quiet Kabul garden, where a kind local woman found her sitting completely still — not exploring, not wandering, just waiting, as if she didn’t know where else to go. She saw immediately that Maylo was in serious trouble and brought her straight to our 24/7 hospital. During examination, our team discovered that Maylo had a high fever caused by a herpes viral infection. The virus had severely damaged both her eyes, leaving her in constant pain. After careful assessment, enucleation surgery was the only way to give her comfort and a chance at a safe, healthy life. Maylo recovered slowly and bravely. Losing her sight has made her more cautious and sensitive to new spaces and sounds, but once she feels safe, her gentle personality shines. She loves snuggling into her soft bed, resting in quiet corners, and finding reassurance in a calm voice or a tender hand. She doesn’t care for typical toys — her favourite things are human company and her extra‑soft comfort blanket.

Maylo enjoys gentle massages and relaxes deeply once she trusts you. She is a calm, sweet soul who needs a peaceful, understanding home where she can feel secure, loved, and protected. She does not enjoy the company of other cats, and life is lonely for her at the moment, so we are hoping to find her a loving home in the West.

Maylo has survived so much, and she meets the world with softness. She truly deserves a quiet, safe home and a family who will cherish her.
