Buddy came into our surgery after being hit by a car, arriving with a wound to his back leg and damage to the toes on one back paw. He now has a soft limp — but it doesn’t slow him down or dim his joyful spirit. If anything, it’s part of his charm.

From the moment he began to heal, Buddy showed us his true nature: a fun, loving, gentle young dog who adores people and lights up when he feels safe. He can be shy at first, watching quietly until he knows you’re kind, and then he blossoms — tail wagging, eyes bright, leaning in for affection. He loves being petted and melts under gentle attention. Grooming is still something he’s learning to enjoy, and we’re helping him build confidence with it.Buddy is wonderfully social with other dogs. He plays happily, adapts easily to new companions (even big dogs), and brings a playful, easy‑going energy to every interaction. He walks well on a leash and grows braver with each outing. And his toys? He absolutely loves them. He’ll trot around proudly with his favourites and can be a little possessive, which only adds to his sweet, slightly cheeky personality.

He needs a cat‑free home, and he would thrive with a garden to explore and a family who will enjoy his playful side as much as his cuddly one. Buddy is a gorgeous, calm, affectionate boy who wants nothing more than a safe place to belong and people who will cherish him.
