Darakht meaning ‘tree’ was found one morning by a member of our team arriving for work at the Nowzad clinic. Probably at only around a few months old, the poor mite had been tied to a tree outside our shelter. We can only assume that somebody had taken pity on the pup and deemed we were the best hope for him.
Darakht is a loveable pup, playful and energetic and it was after about 8 months of him being at the Nowzad shelter that we received an application to adopt him from a supporter in the UK.
It took a while for Darakht to settle into his new life, so much so that the adopter has written a hilarious account of his antics with their family... 10% of the sales are being donated to Nowzad. Click here to purchase a copy!
