Adopting A Nowzad Rescue

Danger

Danger Danger

We were informed of a dog by an ex-pat working within one of the many international compounds in Kabul.

Sadly, the dog had apparently bitten someone and the person was afraid of contracting rabies. We assumed the worse and expected and so took along all of our protective gear and equipment for catching a ferocious dog.
When our Vet arrived at the compound to collect this dog, he saw a small frightened little puppy.  Dr Mujtaba scooped him up and held him in his lap while driving back to the clinic, the dog more than happy to be held by a human!
With a slight sarcastic undertone, the new arrival to the Nowzad clinic was named Danger and he was a healthy young pup who did not have rabies! Neutered and fully vaccinated he was adopted by a staffer at the US embassy and now is living a very happy life in Hawaii!
