Adopting A Nowzad Rescue

Buddy

Buddy Buddy

Buddy was brought into the Nowzad shelter in July 2011.  He was a pup of around 12 weeks old who had been taken care of by British soldiers but now he and his friend Pudgy were in danger of being euthanized following a change of policy on the base.

Unfortunately the soldiers who had taken care of the pups were not able to offer them forever homes in the UK so both dogs came to the shelter with no certain plan for their future.  As the months passed the boys both grew into healthy young adults and Pudgy was placed with an Afghan family as part of our Afghan adoption program where he continues to do well.  Sadly, no one came forward for Buddy so he stayed with us at the shelter and early in 2012 a very kind couple in Canada offered Buddy a place in their hearts and their home.
