Making a PAYE donation through your salary is simple to organise – just ask your Payroll department for the relevant forms. If your company does not yet operate the Payroll Giving scheme, you can talk to your payroll department to arrange a scheme that allows you to donate through your salary, – setting up PAYE is easier than you think!
First you need to register with a Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) approved by the Inland Revenue. See the Inland Revenue Website for a detailed listing: www.hmrc.gov.uk/payrollgiving and then once you are registered, all you need to do is send a payroll giving form to your PGA and they will do the rest. The PGA is responsible for adding the tax onto a donor’s gift and transferring the total sum to the donor’s nominated charity – which hopefully is Nowzad Dogs!
