On behalf of Exercising Kindness and our wonderful friend Lynn, we are delighted to invite you to a special "Walk & Talk" event this June in support of both Nowzad and Mane Chance Sanctuary.
This afternoon will celebrate the unique bond between humans and animals — especially our hardworking equine companions. Join the incredible Jenny Seagrove and Peter Egan, who will be representing Nowzad, for an afternoon of stories, conversation, and fresh air in the beautiful Surrey countryside.
Learn more about Nowzad's equine welfare work in Afghanistan, including Maverick's Donkey Sanctuary in Kabul, which currently provides lifelong respite and care for 21 animals, including horses, donkeys, and even a goat. The sanctuary is named in honour of Maverick — one of the bravest and most stoic horses ever rescued by the Nowzad team.
You'll also have the opportunity to hear about Nowzad's critical outreach work. The charity provides free veterinary clinics for local owners in Kabul, offering wound care, hoof trimming, nutritional advice, and the distribution of padded harnesses, helping working animals lead healthier and more comfortable lives.
