Meet the staff is proud to introduce QaisiGul (means Apricot Flower 😍) our chef!
So basically the most important person at Nowzad!!
Tasked with feeding the staff daily, she believes there is no aspect of her job she doesn’t like!
QaisiGul was sadly widowed from a young age, bringing up her two boys on her own during the harsh Taliban regime.
Her courage and determination is an inspiration to us all. Both her sons are now electricians and provided QaisiGul with her favourite Friday (day off) pastime - playing with her grandchildren!
Always smiling and can a dab hand at making a proper cup of English tea (absolutely no influence from Pen there whatsoever!! 😂)
