FET

FET FET

FET was made known to us by a US Marine in early October 2010.  FET was found abandoned on the side of the road by a patrol in southern Afghanistan; without hesitation the Marines scooped her up and brought her back to the US forward operating base.

She got her name from the abbreviation of their role in Afghanistan; the FET - ‘Female Engagement Team’ !

Everyone who came into contact with FET at the base instantly loved her and one Marine in particular could not bear the thought of leaving her behind when his deployment ended.

After several frantic emails and phone calls we were finally able to transport FET to the Nowzad Rescue Centre.

FET made her long trip home to the USA on 28 October 2010 and is now living the dream with her Marine and his family.
