Loved the books, could not put them down. I did not realise this stuff went on in afghanistan until I came across your books, if only dogs and other animals could be loved as much as we love our dog, life would be brilliant, sadly its not the case so every spare penny or stamp etc we give to this very well deserved cause. Chief (Lab/Rottie/Shep Mix) adopted from the shelter at 4 mos now 1 1/2 yrs old and 67 lbs. Lucky (Anatolian Shepherd) from Florida at 8 wks now 6 mos old and 60-70 lbs. I was stationed at Bagram and he was born under my tent. I struggled and defied regulations to keep him alive for 6 months and was horrified when my time came to leave and I had no option but to leave him. Thankfully some colleagues figured out a way to smuggle him out of Afghanistan to meet me back in the USA, the trip cost me $800, but he is worth every penny and has a constant and loving companion. I am so happy that you are working to help troops bring home this priceless treasures that make life in a combat zone tolerable.
