My little Jack Russell Terrier Leah Lily Grace.

Gator. Our 8 year old Boxer.

Roady, our 11 year old alien dog. We tested his DNA to see what he is … and he didn’t match any of the 150 breeds. He got his name because he was found in a box on the side of the road.

Someone was giving Oliver away when he was only three weeks old. Of course I had to take him because I was worried for his life. I had to bottle feed him until he could be weaned. It was good practice for having a human child with all the late-night bottle feedings. It’s no surprise, he is a very snuggly kitty. Here he is in my son’s covers.
Here is sweet Belinda, daughter of an alley cat. She is being treated for a vaccine-associated fibrosarcoma. The doctor is optimistic about her prognosis.

This is Emma. Rescued from a garage as a kitten, it was 1 year before she’d let me pat her and 10 years before she’d let my husband near her. She is a changed kitty now and happily rules us with an iron paw
. Her main goal in life is to sit on our laps and be petted, and to find as much sunlight as possible! All it took was patience… Your group is wonderful – keep up this wonderful work.

My nephew Kent and his best friend Tyrone. When we asked Kent what he wanted for his birthday, he said he wanted his own kitty. After several trips to the local shelter, he finally picked out this handsome boy. They just love sharing nap time.

So hard to pick one image, since I have seven beautiful rescued dogs. But, My big Sam and his little brother Jack are the choice. Jack adores his big (!) brother and wants to do everything with him. He even stands the same way, as seen in this baby picture.

Fritz and Baxter: rescues, brothers and best friends. Lost Fritz to FIP a month ago.
So far I have met one dog rescued from Iraq by a marine at the veterinary hospital where I work here in Greenville, NC, and I am looking forward to meeting more! Thank you so much for making it possible for the troops to bring home their best friends. We love you, Nowzad! Kara (the human) and Akamai & Sassy (the 2 rescue GSDs)
My dachshund/pit bull pup, Kaos, is so full of personality I feel like there’s another human in the household — only he doesn’t help with the housekeeping!

I am fostering FIV-positive cats, many of whom come from Spain where they are liable to perish under vile conditions in a killing station.

Here is a picture of the current crew, all eagerly awaiting adoption.
Keep up the good work!!!!
