Somebody must be having a laugh, I thought as I read the email from Crufts.

My Afghan fighting dog Nowzad – a snarling bag of attitude and broken teeth who could not pass an animal or person without trying to attack them – had been selected as a finalist.

I handed my wife Lisa a print-out.

‘Somebody is having a laugh,’ she confirmed.

The Charter – 27 Apr 2010

Jody is about 5.4 months old. She is almost the size of my size 12 combat boot.
One day I was taking some garbage over to our waste site on the camp when I noticed this little puff of fur in the trash searching for some food and something to drink.
I stopped and watched this poor cat lapping some sort of liquid that was dripping out of a bag and chewing on an old chicken bone that she dug out of the trash. For some reason, I felt for this poor creature and wanted to help her….
