Lucky, or Very Lucky as she has recently become known has been at the Afghan Shelter for several months now.  He story started 3 years ago or so when she was rescued by Canadian Soldiers in Southern Afghanistan.  One of her ears had been cut off and it was likely she would be used as a breeding dog.  The soldiers took her in and she spent 3 happy years getting all the love and attention she needed.  However, this all changed several months ago when the soldiers caring for her were told she had to go.  The soldiers were desperate to find a home for her but had no idea where to look and then chance took over and the soldiers heard about Jody the kitten who had lived on the same camp.  Jody had made it safely to the Afghan Shelter so the soldiers decided the only chance of survival that Lucky had was to send her there too.

Lucky arrived at the shelter and has been there watching dogs come and go for several months but now it is our great pleasure to tell you that we have found her a new forever home in Canada.  We do need to raise the funds to send her there so please donate at her own Just Giving Page here
